Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz are set for a blockbuster showdown in Sunday’s US Open last — their third straight main last conflict. The winner will depart New York as World No. 1 within the PIF ATP Rankings, the spot presently held by defending champion Sinner.

When is the US Open last?

The ultimate between top-seeded Sinner and second-seeded Alcaraz will start at 2 p.m. ET/ 8 p.m. CEST on Sunday at Arthur Ashe Stadium, the most important tennis-only stadium on the earth.

    It All Adds Up

Sinner and Alcaraz have swept the previous seven majors, guaranteeing a second consecutive calendar-year shutout. Whereas the Italian started the foremost season with a triumph on the Australian Open, Alcaraz snatched the Roland Garros trophy in dramatic style, saving three championship factors in opposition to Sinner. Then, Sinner struck again at Wimbledon for his second Slam of 2025 and fourth total.

Alcaraz leads Sinner 9-5 of their Lexus ATP Head2Head rivalry, which has featured gripping matches, reminiscent of a 2022 US Open quarter-final assembly, their lone encounter at Flushing Meadows, gained by Alcaraz after Sinner held match level.
