Oscar Piastri topped the timesheets in Friday’s second follow session, backing up the tempo proven by his McLaren crew mate Lando Norris within the day’s earlier session in Spain.
McLaren proved to be the crew to beat after setting the tempo in each one-hour follow outings on the opening day on the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

The Australian’s 1m 12.760s effort in FP2 was 0.286s quicker than George Russell may handle for Mercedes, with Max Verstappen and Norris degree on the timing screens 0.310s again in third and fourth respectively.
