Solely 18 players in major league history had ever hit 4 residence runs in a single sport getting into Saturday. Arizona Diamondbacks third baseman Eugenio Suarez added his title to that record.
The Diamondbacks slugger victimized Braves pitcher Grant Holmes within the second, fourth and sixth innings, his sixth inning blast traveling 443 feet to center. Whereas Suarez’s third homer offered a 6-2 lead for the Diamondbacks, the Braves rallied towards Arizona’s bullpen to take a 7-6 lead heading into the underside of the ninth.
Enter Suarez. He stepped to the plate for the fourth time to steer off the inning and delivered, depositing Braves’ nearer Raisel Iglesias’ 3-2 fastball into the seats in left for his fourth homer of the sport.
