    Red Bull protest lodged against George Russell after Canadian Grand Prix is rejected

    Crimson Bull have had a post-race protest lodged in opposition to George Russell following the Canadian Grand Prix – in relation to alleged incidents in the course of the late-race Security Automobile part – rejected.

    Russell had been main the occasion from Max Verstappen when Lando Norris dramatically collided with McLaren crew mate Oscar Piastri on Lap 67 of 70, leading to Norris pulling off the observe and out of the race.

    This led to the Security Automobile being deployed because the stricken McLaren was recovered. Because the car led the pack across the observe, Russell accused Verstappen of overtaking him below the Security Automobile, whereas Verstappen commented over the radio: “George erratically braked.”

    It was later confirmed after the race – which noticed Russell take the victory forward of Verstappen – that Crimson Bull had protested Russell for “allegedly driving erratically below Security Automobile and displaying unsportsmanlike behaviour by complaining that Automobile 1 had overtaken below Security Automobile circumstances.”
