AKRON, Ohio — Miguel Angel Jimenez received the Kaulig Corporations Championship on Sunday for his fourth PGA Tour Champions victory of the season, rallying to drive a playoff and beating Steven Alker with a 20-foot birdie putt on the second additional gap.
Two strokes down after enjoying associate Alker birdied the par-5 sixteenth, Jimenez made a 10-foot birdie putt on the par-4 seventeenth and an 18-footer on the par-4 18th.
Tied for the lead coming into the spherical at Firestone South, the 61-year-old Jimenez and 53-year-old Alker every shot 2-under 68 to complete at 10-under 270 within the main championship.
They every parred the 18th on the primary playoff gap, with Jimenez lacking an 18-foot birdie attempt to Alker holing a 3 1/2-footer to ship it again to tee for a second additional gap.
Earlier than Jimenez’s profitable putt, Alker missed a 20-foot birdie strive after a restoration shot from the timber proper of the green.
