Jakub Mensik displayed the poise and energy of a world-class champion on Sunday in Miami as he took down Novak Djokovic 7-6(4), 7-6(4) for his maiden Masters 1000 – and ATP! – title.
The 19-year-old Czech was cash when it mattered most all week, as he received all seven tiebreaks he performed and earned back-to-back High 5 victories to say the title however, as he informed followers on Sunday evening, he very practically didn’t play in Miami in any respect.
