Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri will resume their combat for the Drivers’ Championship this weekend at Austin’s Circuit of The Americas, two weeks after the McLaren duo made contact on the opening lap of the race that left Piastri asking: “Are we cool with Lando simply barging me out of the best way?”

Naturally, the conflict was on the agenda when the 2 drivers headed again to MTC for his or her regular post-race debrief with the group (which additionally included celebrating defending their Groups’ Championship with the group and their households) and whereas McLaren accepted there was “no malice” in Norris’ transfer, they believed he was finally at fault.

“The conversations after Singapore have been very constructive, very constructive,” Group Principal Andrea Stella advised me once we chatted within the Circuit of The Americas paddock on Thursday night.
