Lewis Hamilton was left delighted by the reception to the 2025 Met Gala, with the seven-time World Champion – who acted as a co-chair of the occasion – hailing the theme of ‘Superfine: Tailoring Black Type’ as a “actually particular second”.
Having been a daily attendee of the celebrated vogue occasion in recent times, Hamilton joined musician and designer Pharrell Williams, actor Colman Domingo, musician A$AP Rocky and Vogue Editor-In-Chief Anna Wintour to co-chair this yr’s night on Might 5 at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Artwork.
And with the gown code for the 2025 occasion being ‘Tailor-made for You’ in honour of the exhibition theme, Hamilton teamed up with British designer Grace Wales Bonner to create his look.
The Briton wore an ivory swimsuit – together with a beret by Stephen Jones Millinery – in an ensemble that featured loads of symbolism and references to his ancestral historical past, with Hamilton telling his Instagram followers that “each element has been deeply thought-about – there’s a variety of emotion and that means woven into this”.
