On this installment, Medina has an unique interview with coach Dave Williams on New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson forward of the workforce’s Jap Convention Finals matchup in opposition to the Indiana Pacers. The next one-on-one dialog has been edited and condensed. What do you make of Jalen’s season and playoff run in context of his earlier seasons? Williams: “I’m simply so excited for him and comfortable for him with all of his accomplishments and every part he has happening. For him, I do know he’s so strong-willed and strong-minded that he doesn’t really feel like he’s residing as much as a lot and that there’s a lot extra he can do — getting out of this Jap Convention spherical, attending to the Finals, and making a run for the trophy. I’m very excited and really comfortable for him. However I simply know he’s so level-minded. Everyone is aware of his mentality. He’s centered on simply making an attempt to get that trophy.” Beyond winning the championship, what more does he feel he can do considering he’s already done so much? Williams: “He’s never really satisfied with anything. He always knows he can do better. If he’s not making every shot, he wants to make every shot. He wants to make every play. He wants to do anything it takes to win. Watching him, I’ve seen that his protection has really been greater than good — particularly his help-side protection and really sitting down and enjoying one-on-one protection. I do know he’s enthusiastic about that for himself. However placing the ball within the basket — he’s been doing that his entire life. That’s simply form of common. Lots of people may not know or consider it that method, however he’s been doing this his entire life. That’s nothing new.” -via Responsible Gaming / Could 21, 2025
