Lando Norris set the tempo within the third and closing follow session forward of the Canadian Grand Prix, as McLaren group mate Oscar Piastri introduced out the pink flags after hitting the wall.

Norris set a 1m 11.799s on the gentle Pirelli tyre with simply over 10 minutes of the one-hour session remaining, which left the Briton 0.078s away from Charles Leclerc’s Ferrari.

FP3: Norris leads Leclerc and Russell as Piastri hits the wall during final practice in Canada

The Mercedes of George Russell was a tenth-and-a-half off Norris, because the second Ferrari of Lewis Hamilton and reigning World Champion Max Verstappen accomplished the highest 5.

Piastri completed eighth having hit the Wall of Champions approaching the 20-minute mark, the impression destroying his McLaren’s right-rear tyre rim and bringing out the pink flag as he recovered again to the pits.
