    George Russell claimed his first pole place of the 2025 season for the Canadian Grand Prix, pipping Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri to prime spot.

    The Mercedes driver posted a 1m 10.899s along with his remaining effort, leaving him 0.160s away from Verstappen as each drivers used the medium tyre within the closing levels.

    Drivers’ Championship chief Piastri improved along with his remaining effort on the comfortable compound however was two tenths again in third, whereas McLaren crew mate Lando Norris certified seventh after failing to enhance on his remaining run.

    Charles Leclerc will begin eighth having additionally failed to enhance on his remaining effort having suffered an oversteer second, whereas Ferrari crew mate Lewis Hamilton will begin fifth.
