They don’t have guidelines, they don’t have templates, you don’t know what to do essentially, you simply do. When you come to Miami, you know what’s expected of you, you know what to do, you know what accountability looks like. So no matter what players and no matter what generation, as long as Pat Riley is a part of it, you’re going to have accountability in some instance. It’s not for everybody, as we always say. Miami isn’t for everybody. It was for Jimmy for six years, it was me for 14 until I left and came back, so forward and so on. However I undoubtedly know that everyone who I’ve talked to who has been part of this group, once they discuss moments of their life which have been impactful, Miami is part of that impactfulness of every participant who has come by way of, whether or not we appreciated it or not. So on the finish of the day, like I stated, I like my folks in Miami, But in addition, too, they’re exhausting. This [stuff] ain’t simple, on the identical time. However if you stroll away with championships like we did, you perceive that successful ain’t simple and it comes with uncomfortable issues and uncomfortable moments.” -via Miami Herald / April 16, 2025
