Bishop’s Stortford trio Harriet Buchan, Jackie Foster and Haley Yerxa had been in superb type as their general rating of +1 secured the English Girls’s Champion Membership title at Metropolis of Newcastle Golf Membership.
The Hertfordshire golf membership completed six photographs away from 2nd-placed North Hants (Hampshire) after a terrific closing day for Yerxa and Foster on Sunday.
Yerxa racked up 4 birdies and an eagle to submit 70 (-3) on the second and closing day, whereas Foster shot 72 (-1), as their two counting scores accounted for the one under-par rating from any staff throughout the 2 days of motion.
Bishop’s Stortford had led after day one because of regular performances from Yerxa (75, +2) and Buchan (76, +3), sitting only a shot away from North Hants and Chelmsford (Essex).
North Hants’ staff of Aimee Paterson, Gemma Burgess and Georgina Carter impressed, with Paterson’s scores of 75 (+2) and 70 (-3), and Burgess’ pair of 77s (+4) guaranteeing 2nd spot on +7.
Chelmsford completed third on +14 because of Lauren Gowers and Lily Frost capturing an identical scores of 76 (+3) and 77 (+4) on Saturday and Sunday respectively.
