CLEARWATER, Fla. — Charles Schwab Cup champion Stewart Cink and Jason Caron mixed for 22.5 factors in two matches Friday to assist the Individuals pull nearer to Europe heading into the ultimate session of singles within the Skechers World Champions Cup.
Europe acquired strong performances from three former Ryder Cup captains — Darren Clarke, Thomas Bjorn and Colin Montgomerie — and maintained a slim lead at 109.5 factors.
The Individuals had been at 108 factors and the Internationals had three groups come out on high to remain shut at 106.5 factors. Worldwide captain Mike Weir and Steven Alker produced probably the most factors in each their matches.
The professional-am at Feather Sound Nation Membership is Saturday, with the singles session on Sunday.
“Jason and Stewart had an incredible two periods actually, morning and afternoon,” U.S. captain Jim Furyk stated. “They performed some stunning golf and led the way in which for us. They allow us to claw our manner again in, and now … it is anybody’s ballgame on Sunday.”
The three-way competitors options nine-hole matches of modified alternate shot and higher ball. Factors are awarded on the end result of every gap. Half of the factors are up for grabs in singles.
