    Fireworks stop play – Ajax game called off after five minutes

    An enormous firework show within the stands brought on Ajax’s league sport in opposition to Groningen to be known as off after simply 5 minutes.

    Followers behind the aim on the Johan Cruyff Area in Amsterdam ignited an enormous wall of fireworks and threw some onto the pitch, main referee Bas Nijhuis to take the gamers off.

    “We provide our apologies to anybody who has been harmed by this in any means by any means.

    “The protection of spectators and gamers has been put at risk. That’s unacceptable.”

    The postponement leaves Ajax and Groningen in sixth and eighth place respectively, with the 2 sides degree on 20 factors after 13 matches.
