Drivers’ Championship chief Oscar Piastri set the tempo on Friday forward of the Singapore Grand Prix, posting a 1m 30.714s because the quickest time.
The McLaren driver, who had earlier completed FP1 in fifth, topped the times in the more representative FP2 session, held underneath the floodlights on the road circuit.
The Australian, who will look to bounce again this weekend after a disastrous occasion final trip in Baku, was simply over one-tenth faster than Isack Hadjar whereas title rival Lando Norris was practically half a second again in fifth.
