ATLANTA — Given his current type, world No. 1 golfer Scottie Scheffler most likely did not want any extra assist in making an attempt to win this week’s Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Membership.

Sadly for the remainder of the 30-man subject, Scheffler can have his common caddie, Ted Scott, on his bag this week.

Scott missed the ultimate spherical of the FedEx St. Jude Championship in Memphis and the whole BMW Championship exterior Baltimore, the primary two legs of the FedEx Cup playoffs, whereas tending to a household matter in Louisiana.

    Editor’s Picks

Final week, Michael Cromie helped Scheffler win for the fifth time this season on the BMW Championship. Cromie was Chris Kirk‘s caddie throughout the common season.

When Scheffler was requested final week about Scott’s availability for the Tour Championship, he appeared uncertain.

“Ted’s the place he must be proper now,” Scheffler mentioned. “I believe caddying might be the very last thing on his thoughts, appropriately. I have been in a position to speak to him a number of occasions. Household’s in good spirits. All people appears to be doing properly.”
