Laurent Mekies is gearing up for his first race weekend as Crew Principal and CEO at Purple Bull – and, earlier than the motion will get underway, the Frenchman sat down with Lawrence Barretto to debate his new position.
Mekies has a wealth of motorsport experience, having progressed from arriving into F1 as an engineer with Arrows in 2001 via to holding senior roles on the likes of Ferrari and Racing Bulls.
Now he faces his subsequent problem after taking on at Red Bull, and Mekies took a second throughout the Belgian Grand Prix weekend to share his ideas on the duty forward.
