    Olympian Ben Harris walks away from rugby aged 25

    Former Saracens wing Ben Harris has left Ealing Trailfinders after one season to pursue a possibility outdoors of rugby.

    The 25-year-old introduced his four-year stick with Saracens to an finish final summer time with a transfer to the Championship, having beforehand come by the London Irish academy.

    The winger loved a standout season within the Championship, scoring 15 tries in solely 9 video games as Ealing ran away with the league.

    Harris represented Nice Britain on the 2021 Tokyo Olympic Video games, scoring in a dropping effort towards Argentina within the bronze medal match.

    “I’m sad to be leaving Ealing Trailfinders after having had a very enjoyable year with a great bunch of people,” Harris said.

    “I’d like to thank Ben Ward for bringing me in and giving me the opportunity to play rugby last season, and the fans for making me feel so welcome at Vallis Way.

    “I’ve enjoyed my time here on and off the pitch, making memories and picking up some silverware. It’s a brilliant club that continues to grow and hopefully will be able to demonstrate that at the top flight of English rugby.

    “I’d like to wish the team the best of luck for next season.”

    Director of rugby Ben Ward added: “Ben has been great for us over the past year. His try-scoring record speaks for itself and his presence will be missed at Trailfinders Sports Club.

    “He has taken up an exciting job opportunity away from rugby. We support his decision and everyone at Ealing Trailfinders wishes him the best of luck in the next chapter of his career.”
