    Former LSU stars react to death of WR Kyren Lacy

    On Sunday morning, ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Chris Low reported former LSU large receiver Kyren Lacy was discovered lifeless Saturday evening in Houston. He was 24. 

    Per Schefter and Low, the reason for loss of life was not instantly recognized.

    Former LSU stars mourned the lack of Lacy.

    Former LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels — who performed with Lacy for 2 seasons in Baton Rouge — posted a number of clips of himself and the WR on his Instagram story.

    Cincinnati Bengals WR Ja’Marr Chase — who performed for LSU from 2018-20 — paid his respects to Lacy on his X account.

    “We’re saddened to be taught of the tragic passing of former LSU Soccer student-athlete Kyren Lacy. Our ideas and prayers are along with his household and family members, in addition to his former teammates and coaches impacted by his passing,” the varsity stated within the assertion, per Schefter and Low.

    Lacy had been accused of inflicting a automotive crash that killed a 78-year-old man on Dec. 17 and fleeing the scene with out rendering assist or calling authorities. On Jan. 12, he turned himself in and was launched on a $151K bail.

    Per Scott Polacek of Bleacher Report, Lacy’s agent, Rocky Arceneaux, had stated the wideout was “totally cooperating with authorities.” 

    WAFB-TV’s Jacques Doucet reported a grand jury was scheduled to start listening to proof in Lacy’s case beginning Monday.

    In 12 video games in 2024, Lacy had profession highs in receptions (58), receiving yards (866) and landing catches (9). Per Schefter and Low, ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. ranked him as excessive as his No. 6 WR prospect in December.
